Two Year Olds
Next Generation Preschool is proud to be a ministry of Ascension Cleburne Church. We get to tell the next generation of God's praiseworthy deeds and his love and salvation, as well as provide a safe, nurturing environment that allows children to grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
Mission Statement:
The purpose of Next Generation Preschool is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow and develop a positive Christian self-image.
Two Year Olds
Next Generation’s objectives include enabling children to:
- Grow in understanding and love for God, themselves, their families, and others in their world
- Grow in the awareness that God loves them and that Jesus is a special friend
- Grow in the ability to think, solve problems, and develop language and social skills
- Enjoy creative expression in music, art, and play
Our classes run 5 days a week, Monday - Friday, from 9am-3pm. We also have an Extended Care Option that runs from 7am-4pm.

Three to Four Year Olds
Two-year-olds spend their day learning to play and playing to learn. Their focus is socialization and developing motor skills. Twos learn about letters and sounds, numbers, spatial awareness, and sensory development as they participate in various activities throughout the day.

Three to Four Year Olds
Three and Four year-olds build on what was introduced in our twos classes reviewing counting, shapes, letter sounds and numbers. They are introduced to print and reading concepts and begin learning to write their name. Circle time is a vital part of our day where we share, listen, and explore themes. Threes begin working with small manipulatives to develop fine-motor coordination as we learn to handle scissors, glue, and pencils.
Pre-Kinder

Our Pre-K class works on specific math and reading concepts: counting, adding and subtracting, reading high-frequency words and predictive text. An emphasis is placed on oral language development and reading. Students practice fine motor skills while exploring crafts and thematic art projects.
Kinder

New this year is our Kinder class! Students practice reading, writing, place values, counting money, and learning about their community using inquiry-based learning and manipulatives.
